Pascal’s law:

Don't Click Here: This law was derived in the 17th century by the famous French mathematician Mr. Blaise Pascal.
PASCAL’S  LAW, simply stated says “Pressure applied on a confined fluid is transmitted undiminished in all directions, and acts with equal force on equal area and at right angle to them.

Before going to the detail of Pascal’s law it is important to know to what this implies to:
This law is the basics to any thing and every thing that deals with hydraulics (hydraulic equipments, hydraulic machines or hydraulics circuits etc).--Technical Videos--
Pascal’s law explained with simple example on video:Don't Click Here:
Fig:1
The fig: 1 shows a cylinder filled with hydraulic oil (fluid) and is closed (confined fluid) it is connected in different sides with pressure gauges (to measure pressure) at the top of the cylinder as shown has a load of 50 Kg with makes the fluid pressurised. The arrow marks the direction to which the pressure is acting (it is acting in 90 degree to the cylinder walls). All the pressure gauges connected to all the directions shows the same needle reading (that implies pressure at all the directions are same).
So the above system in fig:1 is following Pascal’s law as the pressure is same in all the directions as it is a closed system.--Technical Videos--
