Don't Click Here:A dredger is a unit which is used for dredging purpose in water bodies; it is a separate division of machines. But usually for convenience and cost effectiveness the tracked excavator machines or back hoe loader construction equipment of various manufactures like Hitachi, JCB, L&T etc are used by fixing them on a base (a metallic column) as shown in the figure. The base is a metallic column which has vacuum inside and made by welding strong metallic pieces in all the sides.--Technical Videos--
The excavator is tied to the base and the excavator will freely operate on the base floating in the water body, we can see such unit is various parts of Kerala, especially in Aleppy and Kuttanad area. --Technical Videos--
